New to the Arc’teryx lineup for Spring 22, is the Aerios AR Mid GTX boot. Designed for comfort in motion, the Aerios AR backpacking boot delivers support and protection with outstanding freedom of movement for multi-day backpacking journeys.
The unexpected demands of backpacking put hikers through the elements: ladders, deep mud, rocks, mountain-fed rivers, with a fully-load pack and ever-changing weather conditions. The Aerios AR Mid GTX is uniquely designed to meet the challenges of self-supported treks, to keep feet happy and protected so the user can focus on being in the wild and having the experience of a lifetime.

This boot aims to provide comfort in motion, so when you open your tent or get out of the hut in the morning, you don’t look at your boots with dread. You feel confident and comfortable putting the Aerios AR Mid GTX on. The 3D fully articulated ankle and tongue package makes the user feel comfortable and supported as soon as you put the Aerios AR Mid GTX on.
Efficient and sure-footed, the Aerios moves with you because you can’t afford a twisted ankle in this type of terrain. Most boots in this category weigh in at 600 g, while the Aerios weighs in at 550g. Lightweight, agile, and rugged, the materials and construction work to provide performance. The materials are quick-drying, a GORE-TEX membrane keeps your feet dry and debris sheds easily off the woven PFC-free upper material. A molded rubber toe cap offers added durability and protection.
An injected EVA midsole is durable and comfortable for lasting shock absorption and support. The TPU midfoot shank is specifically designed to offer torsional support and underfoot protection for minimal weight. Confidence underfoot comes from an aggressive lug pattern and Vibram® XS Trek outsole.
